Photo Journal of 14th Annual WHA Conference - Morocco

Beautiful gardens, ancient ruins and inviting beaches to start the trip near Rabat.

The ancient Roman Volubis offered a glimpse into the past.

While the AUI Campus at Ifrane provided us with a view of Morocco's present.

Conference attendees relaxing after a long day of seminars, first at one of our sponsored coffee breaks (Sponsors included The Greenwood Group, ABC Clio, Prentice Hall and the University of California Press). Current WHA President, David Northrup as seen here on far left of picture 1 and far right on picture 2. Prof. Driss Magharoui, picture 1 - center, was largely responsible for the conferences success as he was the chair of the local conference committee. Prof. Alfred Andrea, Emeritus Professor at the University of Vermont and Prof. Kerry Ward of Rice University were the WHA coordinators of the conference (two on left of picture 2).

A post conference tour of Fez provided an opportunity to make new friends and witness a process that has been working for centuries.
