Election Results

The 2011 World History Association election results were so close that we needed to wait until the last moments of the election to be able to call the races. Indeed, the WHA was graced with an outstanding slate of nominees and we could only benefit from any of the excellent candidates elected.

Congratulations to our newest officers: Craig Benjamin as Vice-President/President-Elect, Kerry Ward as Secretary, and Carolyn Neel as Treasurer. Our three newest Executive Council members will be Monty Armstrong, Maryanne Rhett, and Mary Jane Maxwell.

We give our sincere thanks to all those who agreed to stand for office and continue to offer so much for the WHA, including John (Tom) Sanders, Paul Jentz, Micheal Tarver, Wendy Eagan and Suzanne Litrel.

The WHA is fortunate to have such terrific people willing to lead the organization. Our thanks to all who participated in voting as well--our high voter turnout is also indicative of the vibrant nature of the WHA.
