Siem Reap Symposium 2012

The World History Association, in conjunction with Pannasastra University of Cambodia, held a symposium on the world-historical significance of Southeast Asia in January of 2012. The symposium sought to generate dialog among scholars within and outside of the region regarding its place in world history, stimulate discussion of world history methodology as well as pedagogy while identifying those world history processes that have application to the region’s past, present and future. Albuquerque 2012

Under the conference themes "Frontiers in World History" and "Indigenous Peoples in World History,the 2012 Annual WHA Conference was held in Albuquerque, New Mexico, from June 27 to June 30, 2012. Hosted by Albuquerque High School, Albuquerque proved to be a fantastic city with its charming Old Town, the Sandia Mountains as a backdrop to the city, a mild climate, the National Hispanic Cultural Center, and the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center all within a few minutes drive of the conference site.
