World History Programs

The WHA strives to list complete and correct information on programs offered in world history. If you find any errors or omissions, please contact the WHA with an update. This page includes US graduate programs which have an official world or global field of study as in the first page listed above. It also includes programs which offer similar if not synonymous curriculum to world or global programs, but which are labeled differently (such as transnational, international, etc.) and finally, those programs which allow graduate students to write a thesis/dissertation in world or global history but do not differentiate between different fields of study and only offer a degree in “history.” Please let us know if you have updates or additional information regarding these programs or others we do not have listed.
