On Saturday, 26 February, from 11:00 AM to 12:15 PM, the New England Regional World History Association will host the symposium, “A Conversation on Islam and Muslim Societies in World History with Cemil Aydin.”

Dr. Cemil Aydin, a professor of History at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, specializes in the histories of the modern Middle East and Asia and is author of two acclaimed books: The Idea of the Muslim World: A Global Intellectual History (2017), and The Politics of Anti-Westernism in Asia: Visions of World Order in Pan-Islamic and Pan-Asian Thought (2007).
