Supporting The WHA Benefits Teachers & Scholars!
Support the WHA
There are many ways in which you can support the WHA. First and foremost is your membership in the organization. Consider a multi-year or lifetime membership, and think about a gift membership to a colleague or loved one as well.
The WHA also relies on generous gifts from members and nonmembers alike as an important source of funding, see more on these website pages: Why Give, Endowment, Sponsor & Planned Giving.
Volunteering to help the WHA, whether at conferences, working with affiliates, committees, as an officer, or in many other capacities is also most welcome and critical to the success of this volunteer-run organization. Please contact the WHA with your information and to discuss the best way your talents can be utilized.
You can also spread the word! Let colleagues and friends know how important it is to support the organization which supports them and the field of world history, and that their membership and activity in the WHA are important.
Finally, ensure that your legacy in the field of world history is secured by including the WHA in your planned giving.
Did you know? Across our membership, donations last year average to $5 per member. Small gifts make a big difference. Give today.
Recognizing levels of scholarship all the way from the prestigious Bentley Book Prize to the K-12 Student Essay Competition, the WHA considers its annual awards a crucial a part of its mission to promote world history through research, publication, and teaching.
Last year we introduced a new type of WHA membership for those whose financial means make membership dues a significant hardship.
The WHA needs help from volunteers who can pledge to serve in a number of different capacities. These range from serving on various committees to holding elected offices.
As a supporter and member of the World History Association, you realize the importance of the organization and its mission.
