Financial assistance to attend the conference

For those of you who are eligible, there are a number of opportunities, albeit limited, for those in search of funding to attend the conference.

  • Thanks to the OER Project, we can offer the first 40 eligible K-12 teachers who apply free registration at the conference.   This is a rolling deadline, but know that we’ve already awarded 10 of the 40.  If you are an eligible K-12 teacher planning to attend the conference, please apply.

  • The WHA offers one William H. McNeill Teacher Fellowship, which provides up to $500 for travel and registration at the conference if you are a K-14 teacher presenting an individual paper at the conference.   Applications are due by April 1.

  • There is a World Scholar Travel Fellowship available to attendees, with preference given to applicants who are conferees attending from outside the United States who do not have any travel funding from their home institutions.   Applications for this fellowship are due by April 1.

  • If due to financial hardship, you need to apply for a conference registration fee waiver, we have limited funds available.  The deadline is April 1.

The 35th annual World History Association conference in Incheon, Korea, is made possible thanks to the collaboration and sponsorship of the following institutions and organizations:
